A powerful celebration of our Great Lakes environment through the eyes of filmmakers.
“Little Fort,” is the historical name for an important location on the shores of Lake Michigan. Once a protector of the water, land and people, today, it’s home to a vibrant community of artists, innovators and leaders with a new environmental challenge.
The June 20-21, 2026 festival will be at three venues in the City of Waukegan, promoted in both English and Spanish and is an inclusive event for all. If you are interested in climate change, environmental protection, plastic pollution, invasive species, drinking water, access to health, environmental justice or agricultural pollution, submit your film to Little Fort Film Festival.
