A vibrant lakeside community where the Great Lakes’ waters and shores are clean, protected, and celebrated for generations. Rooted in the historical legacy of Waukegan as "Little Fort," a gathering place and trading post, Little Fort is dedicated to protecting and preserving the Great Lakes. 

By honoring our community's heritage as stewards of this vital freshwater ecosystem, we aim to raise awareness, advocate for sustainable development, and foster environmental stewardship. Through artistic and community-driven initiatives, such as the Little Fort Film Festival, we inspire collective action to celebrate and safeguard the natural beauty and significance of the Great Lakes for future generations.
